STITZEL Jr., Edwin G. "Bud" age 91 of Fairfield passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018.  He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 22, 1927, the son of Edwin and Cecelia (Wiegand) Stitzel and was a veteran of the United States Navy.  On June 24, 1950, in St. Stephen Church he married Patricia Fea and she preceded him in death on December 3, 2013.   He loved fishing, boating, gardening, baking (best ever pecan rolls), bowling with his Armco buddies into his 80's and traveling.  Edwin worked at Armco Steel Corporation for 36 years, retiring as a General Foreman.

Survivors include eight children, Dianne Ninke, Suzan (James) Strayer, Lee Anne Gfroerer, Marianne Stitzel, Maureen Orozco, Timothy Stitzel, Janet Whitney, Edwin (Kelly) Stitzel III; Daughter-in-law, Linda Stitzel; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Joan Stitzel, Carol Conover, Angela (Jim) Meinhardt, Mary Sue Lakes and Michael Stitzel.

Besides his wife, Patricia, he was also preceded in death by a son, Erick Stitzel; siblings James, Charles, Thomas and Judy.

Visitation and memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. from 12noon-1:00pm.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
