COLVIN, Eldon M. age 85 of Hamilton died Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Westover Retirement Community. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on April 1, 1923 the son of Howard A. and Edna (Schildwachter) Colvin and was a 1941 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. On February 12 , 1944 in St. Ann Church, he married Kathryn Vogelgesang. Mr. Colvin had worked as a milkman for the Wehr Dairy for seventeen years and later as a payroll auditor for Fisher Body Hamilton Plant, for twenty-one years, retiring in 1984. A gifted musician, he played the trumpet in the Boob Winkler Band, "The Music Makers" for many years throughout Butler County. He was a member of St. Julie Billiart Parish and had been a member of the church choir.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; two children, Ron (Pam) Colvin, and Darlene (Michael) Giuliano, all of Fairfield; four grandchildren; Rhonda Matsumotto, Scott (Lyndsay) Colvin, Joe (Alison) Giuliano, and Ed (Karen) Giuliano; ten great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Joann Haggard; and four nieces.
Prayers will be offered at 11:00am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM Wednesday in St. Julie Billiart Church. Visitation will be from 9-11:00AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
