Heinrich, Eldon M. age 85 of Fairfield passed away March 17, 2010, at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton , Ohio on July 22, 1924, the son of Raymond F. and Elizabeth (Ohr) Heinrich and was a 1942 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. After high school he went to work for the Estate Stove Co. until he was drafted into the US Army Air Corp. He served three years in the South Pacific during World War II on the Island of Okinawa. After the war, he became a welder at Fisher Body Hamilton Plant and worked there for 30 years, retiring in 1977. He was an avid bowler and participated in the UAW bowling league. He spent many vacations in Daytona Beach, FL, and also with his brother, Ray, fishing in Canada. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include his two sisters, Ruth Hunter of Fairfield and Dorothy Kuhl of Hamilton; close friends, Dwight and Rosa Conley; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Ray and Donald Heinrich.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-3:00pm Monday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton or a charity of donor's choice. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
