Eleanor Mae (Ellie) Nartker age 84 of Fairfield passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 11, 1938, the daughter of the late William and Julia (Meszaros) Kleimeier. On June 6, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio she married Cyril D. Nartker who preceded her in death, along with sister Mary Ann (Deek) Detro and nephew Noel Detro.

Survivors include six children, Matthew (Carla) Nartker, Theresa (Chris) Hoffer, Joan (John) Fontaine, William (Jeannie) Nartker, James (Kimberly) Nartker, and Sharon (Bill) Noelker; eleven grandchildren, David, Daniel, Katelyn, Matthew, Jacqueline, Lucas, Andrew, Elise, Ashley, Richie, and Megan; and six great-grandchildren.

Ellie was a long-time member of St. Ann Parish and served as the St. Ann Parish Secretary in the 1970s. She was also a member of the bereavement committee, a communion distributor, and volunteered numerous years with her husband at the parish festival. She spent most of her working life at Marsh Supermarket where she was an assistant manager in the deli and wore many hats.

Ellie set a beautiful example as a faithful servant, a devoted wife, and a caring mother who taught her family the roadmap of life: belief in God, the value of hard work and education, the importance of family, and the love of our country. She always found a connection with every person she met along the way and had a warm smile to share. She was a really good mom who was and will forever be loved and cherished by all.
