ARMENTROUT, Elizabeth A. "Betty" age 81 of Hamilton, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 in Westover Retirement Community. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 26, 1926 the daughter of Jacob P. and Pearl (Cain) Gardner and attended St. Ann Grade School and Notre Dame High School. Mrs. Armentrout had worked as a clerk at Beeler Drug Store for twenty years, retiring in 1987. Her husband Blase J. "Buck" Armentrout preceded her in death on April 17, 1998.
Survivors include two children, Michael J. (Ruth Anne) Armentrout of Hamilton, and Karen J. (Gerald) Price of Hillsboro, Ohio; four grandchildren, Heather (John) Kiriakou, of Arlington, Virginia, Jason (Christina) Armentrout, of Hamilton, Andrew (Nikki) Price of Cincinnati, and Elizabeth (Chris) Dokken, of Indianapolis, Indiana; two step grandsons, Michael (Shannon) Clear, of Hamilton, Ohio and Matthew Clear, of Hawi, Hawaii; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Margie Gardner, and a brother, Marvin P. Gardner, both of Hamilton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Delores "Nookie" South.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the nurses of Vitas and Westover and especially Dr. Harry Davin.
Prayers will be offered at 10:30am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Saturday in St. Ann Church. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00am-10:30am Saturday in the funeral home.
