BLACK, Elizabeth S. "Betty" age 54 of Fairfield died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 29, 1958, the daughter of Edward and Verta (Maybury) Rommes, and was a 1976 graduate of Fairfield High School and a graduate of the Hamilton Program of Practical Nurse Education. On August 21, 1993 at Sacred Heart Church she married Donald G. Black. Betty had worked as an LPN at Takoda Trails, and was currently working at Tri-County Extended Care.

Survivors include her husband, Don; a daughter, Candice (Corey) Casto of Columbus; two sisters, Janice (Ron) Koska of Corrigan, TX and Sharon (Robert) Broshear of Hamilton; a brother-in-law, Bob Yelton; nephew, Mark Yelton; her beloved cats, Jasmine, Dusty, Gracie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Shirley Holman and Pat Yelton.

Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Fr. Larry Tharp officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Thursday in the funeral home.
