Obituary

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Cobb age 83 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday April 17, 2024. She was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on October 27, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Paula (Jaeger) Bowe.

She enjoyed 62 years of unconditional love and marriage to her surviving husband, Charles "Tony" Cobb, and three adoring daughters, Susan Hardin, Amy Cobb, and Jennifer Spainhour (Joel); along with six grandchildren Chelsea, David, Julia, Annalise, Nick, Madeleine, and great grandson Davion; and four sisters Bonnie Ridley, Brenda Bowe, Sheila Pottern, and Marsha Riley.

Beyond her primary roles of wife and mother, Betty spent her working life as an Independent Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics.  Her passion was working with women who needed inspiration to develop their skills and uncover new career possibilities.  And in doing so for over 35 years, she earned many accolades from Mary Kay Ash, who she had a personal relationship with, and the company.  Her greatest joy was making others feel special and lifting them up.

She had a way of bringing a smile to the faces of others, even strangers.  She truly changed the lives of many who were blessed to know her.  The word her daughters and clients would use to describe her is their best "cheerleader."

Betty's Christian faith was a significant part of her life that was her inspiration to be a kind and compassionate person for others.  It was important to her to pass along her unwavering faith to her children and others.  She and Tony were active members of Sacred Heart Church for over 40 years, and Corpus Christi Church before that.

She grew up as a member of the Fond du Lac ski demonstration team.  That was the beginning of her "lake life"; she and Tony spent over 35 years enjoying their lake cottage with their family on Lake Williamstown in Kentucky.

She loved watching professional tennis, and she and Tony were members of the Mercy HealthPlex where they both played tennis socially.  In all sports that she enjoyed watching, she always rooted for the underdog.

In memorial of Betty's blessed life, a Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 400 Nilles Road in Fairfield. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass begins, in the church narthex.  Her cremains will be buried at St. Stephan's Cemetery in Hamilton.  Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
