EVANS, Elizabeth A., age 74, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully, March 8, 2007, with her daughters and granddaughter by her side. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 14, 1932, the daughter of Leo and Elizabeth (Wetzer) Guldner, and was a 1951 graduate of Hamilton High school as well as a 1955 graduate of the Butler County Business College. A veteran of the Korean War, she served in the US Army. Elizabeth had worked as a clerk typist, for the City of Hamilton Health Department, for thirty-six years, retiring on Jan, 31, 1995. A life member of the Zion Lutheran Church, she also was a member of the Public Employees Retirement System.
Survivors include two daughters, Lissa Evans-Cooper and husband Timothy Cooper, of Bayou Vista, TX, and Carrie (Kenneth) Van Zant, of Hamilton; a loving granddaughter, Katie Marie Van Zant; a sister, Ruth (Wayne) Carr; a niece, Julie Carr; two nephews, Wayne Carr Jr., and Marty Guldner.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Leo M. Guldner.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Fort Hamilton Hospital ICU, for the compassionate and professional care they provided.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday in the Proeschel- Crawford-Zettler Funeral Home, 547 Main St., with Pastor Timothy Landers officiating, followed by burial with military honors, in Greenwood Cemetery.
