FIELDS, Elsie Woedl, age 92, of Hamilton, Ohio passed away quietly Thursday October 18, 2018 with her son by her side. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 5, 1926 the daughter of Michael and Rosina (Urich) Woedl. On February 25, 1950, in St. Paul Evangelical & Reformed Church she married Mel Fields, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2002. Mrs. Fields had worked as a secretary for sixteen years until 1960. After the birth of her son, she became a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Church in Hamilton. Elsie enjoyed gardening, traveling and taking care of her home with her husband.

Survivors include her son, Jonathan (Jane) Fields of Oxford, Ohio; a brother, Alfred Woedl; a sister, Dolores (Bob) Bennett; two step grandchildren, and a step great grandchild.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gerhardt and Andrew Woedl; and her sister, Ruth Combs.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Pastor Jeremy Pruett officiating, followed by burial in Greenwood cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
