Obituary

LINTNER, Ernest R., age 82 of Fairfield, Ohio died Thursday, June 18, 2009 in Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 13, 1926 the son of Roy and Josephine (Nistler) Lintner and was a 1946 graduate of Hamilton High School. He served in the US Army during WWII. In 1946 he married Betty Erb and she preceded him in death in 1970. On June 26, 1970, he married Mary Ann (Kremer) Elliott. Mr. Lintner had worked as a machinist at Baldwin Lima Hamilton and General Electric, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, 4th degree member of the K of C Father Butler Council and was an active volunteer for St. Raphael.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; three children, Andy (Darlene) Lintner, Reno, Nevada, Stephen J. Lintner, of Hamilton, and Suzanne Lintner, of Hamilton; a stepson, Edward Elliott; three grandchildren, Jason and Andrea Lintner, and Tyler Asher; two great great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Charlotte) Lintner, of Sevenmile, Ohio.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton or a charity of donor's choice.
