RUDDLE, Esther L. , age 84 of Fairfield, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006 at her home. She was born in Hamilton, OH on Dec. 22, 1921, the daughter of Frank and Essie (Hawkins) Penny. In 1940, in Covington, KY, she married Edward C. Ruddle.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; two children, Kathleen (James) Sauer, of Fairfield, and Michael (Karen) Ruddle, of Columbia, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Amy Jones, Peggy Dossman, Carrie Cornett, Christie Byrd, Laurie Lucas, and Julie Reich; two sisters-in-law, Mary Snider, and Ruth Baker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Rose Hill burial park. Visitation will be from 1-2:00PM Wednesday in the funeral home. Online register book and private condolences at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
