Wichern, Eva F. (Hatten) age 96, of Hamilton, OH passed away on August 30th, 2026, while in the care of The Huntington Court Nursing home in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born on May 12, 1930, in Hamilton, OH, the daughter of Richard & Mamie (Harrison) Hatten. The family would like to thank Nancy Tatum & Holly Tatum for the wonderful private care & friendship of our mother for many years. Eva was a wonderful mother, wife and sister who always put her kids first. She loved being with her family and helping others.

Eva was the strongest women that we knew. Unbelievably, Eva survived being hit by a train on foot and being in a coma for 3 months & lived for more than another 50 years. Eva was a wonderful woman that raised 5 children and contributed so many moments and memories to her loving family, kids and grandchildren. Eva was always so full of life and loved so much spending time with friends and family, planning family holidays, cooking, baking and she loved so much to dance, playing cards, & of course listening to Elvis Presley.

Eva is survived, by her Children, Bonnie Thornton, husband (Chuck Thornton deceased), Mark Wichern, wife Laura, Linda Wichern, with boyfriend, Mike Denney, brothers; Richard W. Hatten, Raymond Hatten, wife Agnes, Roy Hatten, wife Sandy, Ronald Hatten, wife Pam and sister Faye Hatten Parra. She is also survived by many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Mamie Hatten, her husband, Carl Wichern, Brothers; Merle, Earl, Harry Sr, and a sister Clara Hatten DeCampos, and her son's Michael Reynolds and Carl Wichern Jr.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 10:00-11:00am at the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 11:00am also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park, 4570 Trenton Oxford Rd. The family would also like to request the presence of all our family and friends immediately following the services at the Eagles Lodge - Butler Aerie 407, located at 820 Pyramid Hill Blvd., Hamilton, OH 45013.
