Obituary

BAKER, Evelyn M., age 69 of Hamilton, died Thursday, March 8, 2006 in Vitas Hospice in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, OH, on October 9, 1936, the daughter of Joseph M. and Agnes (Brickner) Riedel and was a 1954 graduate of Lemon Monroe High School. On August 4, 1956, in St. Ann Church, she married Robert Paul Baker. Mrs. Baker had worked as a teacher for the Head Start Program, for twenty years, retiring in 1998. A member of St. Peter in Chains Church and the Altar Rosary Society, she also volunteered at McKinley Kindergarten Center.

Survivors include her husband Robert; four children, Keith (Teri) Baker, of Naperville, IL, Marcia (Tony) Brandenburg, of Hamilton, Ronald (Julia) Baker, of Cincinnati, and Carol (Jody) Crawford, of Fairfield TWP; eight grandchildren, Lauren and Michael Baker, Robert, Diane, Athena, Hannah, and Samantha Brandenburg, and Leopold Baker; two brothers, John (Rose Mary) Riedel, Donald (Lois) Riedel; an aunt, Dorothy Mount.

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by a nephew, Chris Riedel.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Monday in St. Peter Church, with Rev. Timothy Bunch officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4:00PM Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Maureen L.
