MOORE, Francis J., age 98, of Hamilton, died Saturday, January 14, 2006 in Tri County Extended Care Center, Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, OH on May 7, 1907 the son of John and Louise (Hodapp) Moore. On May 12, 1945, in St. Ann Church, he married Margaret E. Greene and she preceded him in death on June 15, 1985.
Francis had worked as a drug clerk at Rowley's Drug Store, located at 2nd and Walnut streets, for over fifty years, and later was a bookkeeper at St. Ann Parish.
A member of St. Ann Church, and the Holy Name Society, he also was a member of the Bingo Committee.
Survivors include four children, Eileen and husband James Mignerey, of Hamilton, Mary and Husband Dr. James Simcoe, of Fairfield, Charles J. Moore, of Lebanon, and Ruth Ann and husband Patrick Halpin, of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, James Francis Moore on August 13, 2004; three sisters, Louise, Marcella, and Ruth Moore; two brothers, Paul A. Moore, and Rev. Charles L. Moore.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Wednesday, in St. Ann Church. Entombment will be in St. Stephen Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5-7:00PM Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann School Grant-in-aid fund.
