Francis A. Pierson

Pierson, Francis A., Age 88 of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2005, in Batesville, Indiana. Born in Hamilton on February 27, 1917, he was the son of the late Frank and Marie (Wellman) Pierson. Mr. Pierson made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized at Landmark Baptist Temple on March 17, 1968, and was a friend of the Redeemer United Church of Christ on Hamilton Middletown Road. Mr. Pierson was a self-employed carpenter and in 1974 he became a bonded locksmith and established Security Lock Company in Hamilton. He was a licensed Amateur Radio operator, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association. Mr. Pierson is survived by his children, Robert F. Pierson and his wife Janet; Judith A. Cox and her husband Terry; and Linda J. Combs and her husband Desmond. He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Hollenbaugh and Helen Boone. Other survivors include 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Pierson was preceded in death by his wife Theresa B. (Sauer) Pierson; son William K. Pierson; granddaughter Tamara Cox; brothers James, Robert and Kenneth Pierson; and sisters Ruth Ferdelman, Doris Jones and Betty Walden.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. , Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, with Rev. Kim Katterheinrich officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. , Wednesday in the funeral home.
