Fredina “Dena” Turvey Brown age 74 of Bloomington, Indiana passed away Monday July 20, 2026 at her home. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on May 24, 1952 the daughter of Harry and Cecil (Eversole) Richardson. She was raised in Fairfield Township and graduated from Fairfield High School, in 1970. She spent her early adult life in Fairfield, Ohio and relocated to Bloomington, Indiana in 1989. She was employed by Indiana University, in the Auditorium, retiring in 2014. She enjoyed fishing and was especially fond of going to the lake house in Wisconsin.

Survivors include her husband, Dan K Brown; Mother, Cecil Richardson; four children, Dan Brown, Candida Compton, and Brandon Turvey; two grandchildren, Paige and Andrew Brown; cousins, aunt and uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday July 28, 2026 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 12noon-1:00pm Tuesday July 28, 2026 in the funeral home.
