BERNIER, George R. age 91 of Hamilton passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, in Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Epping, New Hampshire on March 21, 1924, the son of George X. and Rosaide (Jacques) Bernier and was a 1950 graduate of the University of New Hampshire. On May 27, 1979, in St. Ann Church he married Dorothy Gardner. George worked as a mechanical engineer for GE Evendale plant retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Ann Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; five children, David (Pauline) Bernier, Nicholas Bernier, Melanie (Steve) Goebel, Karen Lyons, and Joseph Bernier; two step-children, Carol (Jim) Salter, and Jeanne Williams; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Phillip (June), Lionel (Yvonne), Francis (Katy), and Claude (Almena) Bernier; two sisters, Jacqueline Proulx and Adele (John) Baake.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Bernier; a sister, Juliette Shea.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Monday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Larry Tharp Celebrant, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery.
