SMITH, Gladys age 83 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away Tuesday February 2, 2021 at home. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on July 30, 1937 the daughter of John and Hettie (Jones) Owens. She had worked as a Nursing Assistant at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Gladys was a member of Light House Church.

Survivors include six children, Linda S. (Terry) Roark, Gloria Claxton, Joyce (Rick) Braunm, Russell (Becky) Smith, James (Billie Jo) Smith and Judith (Mike) Hamilton; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; three brothers, Ernest, Burl, and Russell Owens; and a sister, Rosie Jarvis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arla Smith; a granddaughter, Sarah Stewart; a brother, Arlie Owens; two sisters, Lillie Owens and Dolly Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 12noon Friday in the Lighthouse Church, 2630 Hamilton Mason Rd. Hamilton, OH 45011 followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00am-12noon in the church. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
