Hazel "Peggy" Dotson age 90 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Friday August 15, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Fairfield. She was born in East Burnstadt, Kentucky on July 31, 1935 the daughter of Alonzo and Artie (Merrit) Whitaker. On March 9, 1953, in Richmond Indiana, she married Ray Dotson and he preceded her in death on September 12, 2000. Peggy enjoyed embroidery, quilting and puzzle books.

Survivors include her seven children, Ray Jr.(Bonnie), Raymond Lee (Carolyn), Charles (Colleen) and Gregory (Andrea) Dotson, Cynthia (John) Glenn, Sandra (Robert) Burke, and Janice (Nate) Hacker; 40 Grandchildren; numerous  great and great great  grandchildren; a brother, Ernie Whitaker; a sister, Brenda Spurlock.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by 3 sons, Dwight, Philip, and Stanley Dotson; 4 daughters, Frances Dotson, Norma Callahan, Linda Mikkelson and Brenda Jekela.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday August 20, 2025 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. and again from 10:00AM-12noon Friday August 22, 2025 in the Humphreys Co. Funeral Home, Waverly, TN,  followed by a funeral service at 12noon. Burial will be in Wyly Cemetery. Online register book at www.zettlerfuneral home.com
