DOEHLMAN, Herald "Bud", age 77 of Hamilton, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Weisberg, Indiana on July 14, 1928, the son of Gust and Stella (Oehlman) Doehlman, On June 27, 1953, in St. Veronica Church, he married Jeanne A. Ruthven. Mr. Doehlman served in the US Army 1st Calvary, during the Korean War. He retired as manufacturing manager at Mosler Safe Co., after thirty-eight years service, in 1987. A member of the Monkey Mutual Aid Society, he also was a life member of the V.F.W. Post # 1069, American Legion Post # 138, and the Mosler retirees. Bud was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he also enjoyed woodworking and inventing.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne; two children, David M. (Joyce) Doehlman, of Hamilton, and Diane (Harold) Parsons, of South Bend, Indiana ; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Lauber, and Mrs. Pearl Guenther, both of Sunman, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Nedderman, and Mabel Fassold; two brothers, Russell and Leroy Doehlman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Deacon William Renneker officiating, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00AM Friday, in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Cincinnati Association for the blind, Monkey Mutual Aid Society or a charity of Choice.
