SHANKS, Imogene E. age 82 of Fairfield, died Thursday, June 11, 2009, at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born on May 22, 1927 in Hamilton, the daughter of Conrad and Hattie (Hall) Mainous, and a 1945 graduate of Hamilton High School. Imogene married Charles T. Shanks in Hamilton, OH. She worked as a Sales Associate for Wilmers, later Elder Beerman, and Florences Dress Shop.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; three children, Michael (Beth) Shanks of Hamilton, Linda Frederick of Fairfield, Kyle (Stan) Hayden of Liberty Township; five grandchildren, Scott, Chris, Ryan, Tyler, and Taylor; five great-grandchildren, Ellis, Chase, Benjamin, Katie, and Luke; a special niece, Nikki Oldfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Reba Cecere; a brother, Charles Mainous.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Rick Huff officiating, followed by Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 10-11:00am Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
