PURCELL, Iris J. age 83 of Hamilton, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 5:05am, in Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 21, 1925, the only child of Russell E. and Katherine A. (Lenehan) Schorr. Educated in the Hamilton public schools, she graduated in 1943 from Hamilton High School. She was a twenty-eight year employee of the Butler County Clerk of Courts office, Title Division, the last five years as supervisor, retiring in November of 1988. She was very fond of animals and enjoyed playing cards with friends, belonging to a 500 club for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda (David) Bucker; a son, Steven Purcell; two grandchildren, Scott and Timothy Bucher; cousins, Sandra Nohrer and Richard Schorr; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by special aunts Elizabeth "Libby" Nohrer and Gladys Schorr; and a cousin, Barbara Lenehan.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 11:00am in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Larry Uczen, pastor of Calvary Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am Friday in the funeral home.
