BANKS, Isaac, C., age 75 of Hamilton, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2006 at Tri-County Extended Care Center, Fairfield. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky on May 14, 1931, the son of Bill and Nora (Wade) Banks. In 1957, in Boonville, Kentucky, he married Opal Jean Gregory. Mr. Banks was a construction worker until he became disabled. A Native American, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He devoted his time with friends at "Reds" and "Avis" restaurants, as well as going to the coon hunting club.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; three children, Nora (Fiancée` Carl) Marchant, of Dryridge, KY, Michael (Juanita) Banks, of Fairfield, and Patty (Scott) Huff, of Middletown; a stepson, John (Cheryl) Gregory, of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Chuck Sweeney, Billy and Matthew Huff, Michael, Steven and Erik Marchant, Britany Banks, Brian and Amy Gregory; a brother, Ray Banks; three sisters, Margaret David son, Faye Campbell, and Mabel Gum; numerous other relatives and friends..
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby, Carl, and Enoch Banks; three sisters Jean, Alene Brandenburg, and Nancy Smith; special son-in-law, Steve Marchant.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Pastor Ron Medley officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7:00PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
