JUDGE, Iva E. age 99, a twenty year and oldest resident of the Columbus Colony Elderly Care, died there Monday, November 19, 2007. She was born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky on August 8, 1908 the daughter of John and Ella (Eskridge) Taul and was educated at the Danville, Kentucky School for the Deaf. On August 9, 1941, in St. Mary Church, she married James Murray Judge and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1992. She was a fifty year member of St. Ann church and had been a fifty year resident on Andrew Ave. in Lindenwald. She was a life long member of the Cincinnati Silent club and was a member of the Ohio State Alumni Association of the Deaf in Westerville, Ohio.
Survivors include two sons, beloved, fondest son and best friend John and dearest wife Judy, of Fairfield, and Jim of Bangkok, Thailand; beloved and fondest grandsons, Michael( Janice), of Hebron, Kentucky, Joe(Bridget), of Kensington, Maryland, David (Sarah), of Florence, Kentucky; grandson, Jimmy of Atlanta Georgia; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Trey) Webb III, of Austin, Texas, and Bridget, of Edmond Oklahoma; beloved and most fond great granddaughter, Jessica and Jennifer Iva; three great grandsons, Gage , Trey IV, and Cole; Step granddaughters, Susan, Jessica; step grandson, Jeff; two step great granddaughters; five nephews, Richard Vaughn, Gayle (Rocky), Freddie, Gabriel, and John; a niece, Nancy; beloved and fondest cousin, Edith McGary; other relatives and friends in Hardinsburg, Kentucky; pen pals, Tess Fontaine and Kay Dirk; special "Flying fingers" friend, Aileen Durette.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Grace; a brother Gabriel; a brother-in-law, J. Donald Judge and wife Josephine (Fontaine).
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Friday in St. Ann Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30-9:30am Friday in the funeral home. www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
