DOWNIE, James Robert, age 62 of Hamilton died Tuesday March 29, 2011, in Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 9, 1948, the son of Robert and Lucille (Dungan) Downie Jr. and was a graduate of St. Rita School for the Deaf. On December 31, 1985, in Des Plains, Illinois he married Ruby K. Niesluchowski. Jim worked at Emil's Body Shop in Fairfield, Ohio, for twenty-four years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and deaf bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; three children, William (Amy) Lievens, Brian (Bethany) Lievens, and Heather Lievens; four grandchildren, Darren, Anna, Nora, and Talia Lievens; four sisters, Judith (Kenneth) Kraft, Jean (Charles) Rhoten, Mary Jane (Larry) Clark, and Joan Staarmann; two brother-in-laws, Walter (Rita) Niesluchowski Sr. and Edward Niesluchowski; special niece, Nina J. Rose; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
