James Henry
Lubbers
March 13, 1944 – March 2, 2022
Lubbers, James (Jim) Henry, age 77, of Hamilton departed this earth Wednesday,
March 2, 2022.
Jim grew up in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School.
Shortly after graduation, Jim enlisted into the U.S. Air Force where he was trained
in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC). He served during the
Vietnam War in Thailand and upon completion of his service continued his work
in the HVAC field where he was recognized as an expert. He retired from Procter
& Gamble in 1999, but continued serving friends and family through his business,
Lubbers HVAC. He was a longtime member and officer in the Cincinnati
Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES).
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary (Kraft) Lubbers, his daughters Carol
(Alejandro) Lucio, Beth (John) Wolfford, and his adored grandchildren, Jenna,
Connor, and Ben Wolfford as well as his siblings and in-laws (outlaws), many
cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and
Mary (Amiot) Lubbers, his father-in-law, William (Bill) Kraft, and his "baby
brother" Charlie Lubbers, nephews Bobby Lubbers and Craig Shannon, and sisters-
in-law Laurie Lubbers and Nancy Kraft.
Jim was an active member of Durwin-Schantz American Legion Post 138 in
Hamilton where he made numerous contributions and served many in the
community along with Mary. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His
life of service included being a regular blood donor until he was unable to give.
His final act of service was as an organ and tissue donor.
A celebration of life open house will be held for close friends and family at the
home of Jim and Mary on March 13.

honoring and providing support to all our veterans and their families. Additional
donations can be made in his honor to Hoxworth Blood Center and the LifeCenter
