Obituary

SCHINDLER, James Everette age 79, died October 28, 2011, in Mercy Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio January 31, 1932, to Rosella Baumann & Raymond "Barney" Schindler.
He attended St Ann's School, and Hamilton Catholic High School, graduating in 1950. On December 6, 1952, he married Lois De Bolt in St Ann's Church, Hamilton.
After serving 3 years with the U. S. Coast Guard in Seattle, they returned to settle in Lindenwald. There were 4 children born to this marriage: Larry (Marie) Schindler, Tom (Lisa) Schindler of Hamilton; Raylene Carr, Indianapolis, Indiana; and Dan (Jeanne) Schindler, Fairfield. Lois died March 7, 1983. On June 22, 1985 Jim accepted in marriage Rosemary "Rosie" Riegert Wolf with children Debbie (Eldon) Wartes, Fairbanks, Alaska; Mary Wolf, Powell, Ohio; Carole Wolf, East Jordan, Michigan; and Mike Wolf, Camden, Ohio. Jim leaves grandchildren: Michelle (Mike) Currin, Eric, Gina, Scott, Matthew, Anna, Robin (Erik) Wennen, Howard, Amanada (Shane) Johnston-Fisher, Logan, Brandon, Nick and Danielle. Also eleven Great Grandchildren, and brother Jerry (Charlotte) Schinder. Preceeding him in death is Lois Schindler, his parents, nephew Ronnie Schindler, Son-In-Law Gene Carr, and Parents-In-Law Rose Mary and Mike Riegert.
Jim was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus #968, St Ann's Church, & Pleasant Athletic Club, other interests: golf and watching all sports. While in high school, Jim played football and basketball and was sports editor of the Hamilton Catholic High School newspaper "Recorder" and wrote high school sports teams articles for "The Cincinnati Enquirer". Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondeik celebrant. Visitation will be from 2-5:00pm Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
