SCHELLENBACH, Jeanette, age 89, a long time Hamilton resident and currently residing in Bellefontaine, Ohio died there Friday November 25, 2011 in the Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 10, 1922 the daughter of Edward and Anna Weiss and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1940 and the Southwest Ohio Business College.
On June 6, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio she married Donald E. Schellenbach and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2007. She had worked in administration for a Hamilton, Ohio credit agency, for several years, retiring in 1988. A life long member of St. Peter in Chains Church and the Rosary Altar Society, she also was a regular weekly volunteer through church groups. Jeanette had been an active member of the Notre Dame Alumni Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Gillespie and husband Paul of Belle Center, Ohio, Cynthia Schellenbach and husband Charles Greene, of Grand Blanc, Michigan; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a brother, Walton Weiss; a sister-in-law, Doris Schellenbach.
Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by a sister, Rita Livingston; and an infant brother, Mark Weiss.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10am Wednesday in St. Peter in Chains Church, with Fr. Ron Haft celebrant. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Tuesday in Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
