Obituary

SELLARS, Jewell Lorraine Wood Pabst age 87 formerly of Hamilton, Ohio passed away on December 13, 2015, in Springhill, Florida. She was born in Amelia, Ohio on October 9, 1928, the daughter of Benjamin Richard and Macie Gladys (Poe) Wood. On August 31, 1946, she married Richard Hugo Pabst, who preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage. She married Edward Sellars in March 2000, in Springhill, Florida, where they lived until her death.

Survivors include her husband, Ed; two sons, Phillip (Sue) Pabst of North Carolina, and Richard Pabst Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Linda (Dennis) Reiter of Fairfield, Ohio; four step-children, Lorraine (Dan) Ryfun, Charlie Sellars, and Donald (Kathy) Sellars ,all of Syracuse, New York, and Edward "Ned" (Cathy) Sellars of Wesley Chapel, Florida; seven grandchildren, Joe Thompson, Brandi (Greg) Potter, Whitney (Michael) Woodbridge, Dan (Kim) Pabst, Richard Hugo, Hunter Dane, and Farrah Pabst; seven great-grandchildren, Olivia Woosley, Nicholas and Bryce Thompson, Jewelia Potter, Nathan and Audrey Pabst, and Liam Woodbridge; and a large in-law family. She was one of ten siblings growing up, but there is only one surviving brother, Benjamin Richard Wood Jr. of Florida.

Back in the days when pies were made from scratch, she single-handedly made wonderful holiday meals. With her first husband, Richard, she owned an operated the Pabst Bait Shop on South Second Street in Hamilton in the late 1960's. They spent many years on the farm in West Elkton, Ohio, where at different times they raised sheep, turkeys, chickens, tended the garden, and she used her green thumb to grow beautiful flowers. When widowed in 1995, she fulfilled her dreams when she began traveling which included Alaska and Hawaii. She loved to sew and did so until she could sew no longer. She was a frustrated artist, wishing she had expanded her knowledge and talent painting, so she has left that dream to her great-granddaughter, Olivia, to realize. Through God's plan, she fell in love with Ed Sellars and was graciously accepted into his large family full of God's love. She has been so happy living in Florida and for all this we will always be so grateful. Like so many others, Alzheimer's disease has been chipping away at their joy, but now she has passed to be with the Lord for eternity-our greatest reward.

Funeral Service will be held at 6:30PM Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30-6:30PM Friday in the funeral home.
