Obituary

YORDY, Jo-Etta, age 64 of Hamilton, died Friday September 4, 2009 in Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 13, 1945 the daughter of John and Margaret (Corbin) Jones and was a 1963 graduate of Garfield High School. She had worked as a programmer for General Tool, for the past fifteen years. An active member of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church, she sang in the Praise Band, was a Stephens minister, and was a member of the Focus on Grief support group.

Survivors include her son, Patrick Yordy, of Hamilton; a stepson, Michael Yordy of Hamilton; a stepdaughter, Paula (Paul) Linville of Fairfield TWP; three grandchildren, Cassandra (Jack) Sturgill, Randy Richardson and Ronnie Yordy; four great grandchildren, Daniel, Jade, Jon, and Aerika; four brothers, Doug, Steve(Betty), Keith (Antoinette) and Kevin (Tanya) Jones; a sister, Jan (Darell) Hershner; a son-in-law, Tim Richardson.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Richardson; twin infants at birth; a brother, Terry Jones; a sister-in-law, Pat Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Valerie Waibel of the Lindenwald United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, P.O.
