SOUTH, Joan C. age 79 of Hamilton passed away Tuesday January 5, 2021. She was born in Scottsburg, Indiana on August 19, 1941 the daughter of Paul and Gwendolyn (Ross) Price. On April 24, 1959 in Jellico, Tennessee she married James E. South and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2018.

Survivors include three children, Barbara (Charles) Gaynor of Hamilton, Rebecca (Doug) Conway of Cincinnati, and David (Diane) South of Oxford; five grandchildren, Sarah (Randy) Worley, Andrew (Jennifer) Gaynor, Lindsay (John) Novak, Christina (Dillon) Latherty, and Lauren (Benjamin) George; eight great-grandchildren; 3 Sisters, Judy (William) Wright, Denise (Bud) Hurst, and Gloria (Scott) Hawkins; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Sally) Price, James (Julie) Price.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Paulette Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the V.F.W Post # 1069 of Fairfield, Ohio.
