John Belanger, age 69 of Fairfield, OH passed away on September 19th, 2024.

John was born in Cincinnati, Oh to parents, John L Belanger and Charlotte M. Belanger.

He retired from the City of Fairfield Ohio as a traffic engineer after 30 years. He designed the graphics for the City of Fairfield Police Department during his tenure there. John later operated his own surveying business with his son and grandson.

John was a very talented musician/singer song writer as well, performing at many community venues. He was a self-taught guitarist, his love for music and his family were his passion.

John was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Football fan.

A long-time member of Lindenwald United Methodist Church, he was active in contributing to their music program and lending his unique voice and talents to the church choir.

Survivors include devoted daughter, Mandy Ramirez, sisters, Charlotte Adams and Pamela Van Nostrand, daughter in law, Jennifer Belanger, former spouse, Anita Belanger, beloved grandchildren, John Wesley Belanger, Sean Belanger, Joshua Ramirez, Nick Ramirez, Isabella Belanger, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous close caregivers who visited to make his final days brighter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Belanger, father, Jack (John) Belanger, sons, Kevin Belanger and McKinley Hobbs, sister, Jill Lippert, grandparents, Roland and Lauretta (Dohme) Kaper, Uncle and Aunt, Troy and Ruth Kaper.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Thursday September 26, 2024 in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by burial in Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am Thursday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Animal Friends Humane Society.
