John S. Furnier's Obituary
FURNIER, John Stewart age 83, of Hamilton, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Mr. Furnier was born in Hamilton on November 18, 1925 and was the son of William B. and Alleyne (Hurd) Furnier. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and served for many years as a firefighter with the Hamilton Fire Department. He was also an avid golfer.
He leaves one son, Don, three grandchildren, and two sisters, Miriam Pitts of Tigard, Oregon, and Freda Halderman, of Fairfield
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William B. Furnier Jr. .
Graveside funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements through Zettler Funeral Home.
