Obituary

John F. Glasmeier age 58 of Fairfield, Ohio passed away Monday July 1, 2024 at his home. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 4, 1965 the son of Carl G. and Ruth Mary (Rieman) Glasmeier. On May 18, 1991 at Sacred Heart Church he married Karen M. Westerkamm.

John was a cherished husband, father, and brother that traveled to all corners of the globe, yet he still found great joy in a simple weekend spent on the lake. He was a beloved teammate on the Badin High School football team, and he continued to carry on an impressive dedication to strength, fitness, and community into his football career at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana and beyond. John loved his 1976 Corvette, and he brought laughs and smiles to all those around him, teaching them to never take life too seriously. Still, all his time spent travelling, boating, training, or joking could never compare to his most defining, admirable, and lasting characteristic: his fierce and unwaveringly generous love for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; two daughters, Rachel (Drew) Williams and Carly (Brian) Feller; two brothers, Steve (Vicki) Glasmeier and Jim Glasmeier; two sisters, Jane Tobergte and Mary (Dave) Mainwaring; his dog, Ruthie.

John was preceded in death by his mother on January 25, 2009 and his father on July 14, 2011.
