STANZAK, John W. age 58 of Farragut, Tennessee died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 9, 1952, the son of John J. and Elizabeth (Nolan) Stanzak Jr. John worked as an Alternate Waste Certification Official for Fernald from 1990 through 2005, and then was currently employed at Bechtel Jacobs Company. He was a member of St. John Neumann Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. John had been a Hamilton City Council member, serving from 1988-1991.
Survivors include his two daughters, Regina S. Franchini of Elsmere, Kentucky and Melissa A. Stanzak of Cincinnati; his father, John J. Stanzak Jr.; six brothers and sisters, James (Connie) Stanzak, Jeanette (Craig) O'Daffer, Joseph (Kathy) Stanzak, Mary Geyer, Peggy (Walt) Wilsman, and Michael (Kristine) Stanzak; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Stanzak.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Thursday in St. Ann Church with Fr. Stephen Mondiek celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
