FISHER, Joseph J. age 93 of Hamilton, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 in Westover Retirement Community. He was born in Trinity, Jay County, Indiana on March 16, 1915 the son of Frank and Hazel (Boose) Fisher and served in the US Army Tank Corps, during WWII. On December 31, 1947, in St. Stephen Church, he married Julianna Schobin, and they just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Mr. Fisher had worked as a machinist at Hamilton Tool, for over forty years, twenty years as a foreman, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Joe really enjoyed driving and planned yearly vacations with his family as well as many trips he took with his wife Julie.

Survivors include his wife Julianna; three children, Jeanne (Charles) Hannum, of Philadelphia, PA, John (Patricia) Fisher, of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and Joanne (Michael) Levline, of Fairfield, OH; a daughter-in-law, Linda Fisher; eleven grandchildren, Kristin H. (Michael) Brenner, Joseph R. Hannum, Mary M. Hannum, Michael W. Hannum, Sarah A. (Vincent) Starkey, James J. Fisher, Jennifer L. Miracle, Jeffrey A. Levline, Jason M. Levline, Jessica R. Levline, Joseph (Amber) Levline; five great grandchildren, Kassidy Hannum, Maya Levline, Kameron Levline, Aidan Minnix, Samuel Hartman; a sister, Agnes Faller, of Ft. Recovery, OH; sisters-in-law, Rose Mary (Jack) Riedel, Helen Jean Hulshult and Betty Schobin.

He was preceded in death by a son, James A. Fisher in 2000; two brothers, Jim and Norman Fisher; two sisters, Marguerite Fisher and Mary Willhoff; a daughter-in-law, Lu Ann (John) Fisher in 2001.
