HERMAN Jr., Joseph L. age 71 of Fairfield passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 31, 1946, the son of Joseph L. and Rita (Stecher) Herman and was a 1964 graduate of Fairfield High School. Mr. Herman was a veteran of the United States Air Force. On October 6, 1979, in South Bend, Indiana he married Joanne Fouty. Joseph was sales manger for King Kwik, Radio Shack, and later was sales manger for the appliance department at Kmart, retiring in 2010. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the American Legion Post #138.

Survivors include his wife, Joanne; two daughters, Christine (Michael) Holland of Fairfield, Ohio and Catherine Herman of Euclid, Ohio; a sister, Patricia French of Lebanon, Ohio; three nephews and other friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Thursday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
