LUIBEL, Joseph D. age 64 of Madeira, Ohio died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at U.C Medical Center. He was born in Middletown, Ohio on February 11, 1947, the son of Joseph F. and Mabel (Proffit) Luibel, and was a 1966 graduate of Middletown High School. Mr. Luibel attended the University of Kentucky. On November 14, 1987, he married Sharon McCune. Joseph worked as a plumber and pipefitter and was a life long member for the Local # 392, as well as working for United Industrial Services. He was a member of the Middletown Eagles post #3458. Joe was always interested in art and had a sincere passion for cooking. As a lifelong UK fan and avid sports fan, Joe loved nothing more than sitting down to watch a Red's, Bengal's, or Wildcats' game. We will always cherish the memory of the joy he and mom felt when surrounded by friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; seven children, Brian Luibel, Lauren (Chad) Martin, Jeffrey (Jennifer) McCune, Daniel Bowman, Rodney Bowman, William (Michelle) Rose, and Michelle (John) Ball; twelve grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Stephen (Gina) Luibel.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. Edwin R. Beck officiating, followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
