PETERS, Joseph E. age 87 of Hamilton, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 14, 1920 the son of Edward A. and Theresa (Doerpers) Peters and served in the US Army during WWII. On June 22, 1946, in St. Joseph Church, Hamilton, Ohio he married Mary M. Mick. Mr. Peters had worked as an installer for Linden Heating and Cooling for thirty years and later for Hamilton Sorter, for five years, retiring in 1985. A member of St. Ann Church, he also was active in the Bingo Committee and Boy Scouts through the church. In younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; five Children, Edward (Linda) Peters, Ronald Peters, Diane George, Michael (Marsha) Peters, and Gregory (Marilyn) Peters; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

Besides his parents; he was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Washburn.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Monday in St. Ann Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Sunday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Ann Church or Hospice of Hamilton.
