Schlager Joseph J, age 79 of Fairfield, was accepted into the gates of heaven on Saturday April 2, 2016. Joseph was born on April 28, 1936 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Ferdinand and Elizabeth Remmel Schlager. He was a 1954 graduate of St. Xavier High School. On October 1, 1960, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Clark. He was President of Indrolect Company for 43 years. He was a Pension Trustee for IBEW Local 212 and an officer of the National Electrical Contractors Association. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and K of C. He was a coach and sponsor of the Fairfield Youth Baseball Association. He loved coaching and watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He was always their number one fan.

Survivors include his wife of fifty five years, Barbara Ann, his children Kimberly (John) of Hamilton, Joseph Jr. of Fairfield, David (Diane) of Cincinnati, Susan (Jeffrey) of Fairfield, and Steven of Hamilton, Grandchildren; John, Christopher, Molly, Andrew, Traijan, Samuel, Madison, and Jeffrey.

Prayers at will be offered at 9:30 am Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by mass of Christian burial at at 10 am on Wednesday April 6 at Sacred Heart Church in Fairfield, Ohio. Visitation will be 5-8 pm on Tuesday April 5 at Funeral Home. Please send donations to the American Cancer Society, or Badin High School Football Program in honor of Joseph Schlager. Joe's fighting spirit and work ethic will live on in his family forever.
