Hardy, Josephine E. age 88 of Hamilton died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Parkside Nursing Home. She was born on May 22, 1922, the daughter of Rudolph and Georgia (Karr) Dirck. One June 5, 1943, in St. Ann Church she married Marion "Red" Hardy, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2003. Josephine worked as a waitress at Bob's Café and Hamilton Eaton Inn, and later worked as a menu hostess in the Dietary Department at Fort Hamilton Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter Debbie (John) Allen; three grandchildren, Debbie (Lehman) Dixon, Dustin (Kelly) Ebbing, and Jacie Allen; one great-grandchild, Sean Dixon; two sisters, Regina Moore and Donna Richmond.

Besides her husband, Marion, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Marianne Setser and Mary Kay Hardy.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave followed by burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
