McCune, Juanita A., age 83 of Hamilton, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006 in Hospice of Hamilton/ Sunrise Assisted Living Center. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 18, 1923, the daughter of Rudolph and Georgia (Carr) Dirck. On November 21, 1942, in St. Ann Church, she married Lee D. McCune and he preceded her in death on March 6, 2002. Mrs. McCune had worked in the dietary department at Fort Hamilton Hospital, for 10 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Ann Church. She enjoyed completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles and also was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include six children, Lee (Judy) McCune, of Hamilton, Sharon (Joseph) Luibel, of Middletown, Dennis McCune, of Trenton, Mark McCune, of Hamilton, Shawn (Dorothy) McCune, of Grandville, Michigan, and Dain (Lisa) McCune, of Fairfield; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Donna Richmond, Regina Moore, and Josephine Hardy; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph, Rudolph, and Daniel Dirck; five sisters, Martha Grimes, Katherine Torello, Dorothy Shimkus, Thelma Ash, and Lillian Dirck; a daughter-in-law, Rosemary McCune.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Hamilton for the care they provided.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30AM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM Monday in St. Ann Church.
