JESTER, Karen A. , age 52 of Fairfield, died suddenly Monday July 13, 2009 at Mercy Hospital of Fairfield. She was born in Hamilton Ohio on June 13, 1957 the daughter of John and Eileen (Schuler) Straub. Karen was a 1975 graduate of Badin High School and also graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Radiolgy. On April 27, 1985 in St. Michael Church, Sharonville, she married James J. Jester. An employee of Great Oaks, she was stationed at Children's Hospital as a job coach, through Project Search. She was a member of St. John Neumann Church and was a Eucharistic minister. Karen was a very active supporter of her sons baseball team, the Finneytown Falcons.

Survivors include her husband, James; four sons, Andrew J. of San Antonio, TX, Thomas J., Robert J., and Ryan J. Jester, all of Fairfield, her parents, John and Eileen Straub; mother-in-law, Joan Jester; two sisters, Kathy Marchant and Mary (Ted) Soloway both of Hamilton; an aunt, Virginia Carter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Debra (John) Carson, Joseph (Trudy) Jester, Michael (Molly) Jester, Joan (Joe) Clear, Ann (Michael) Winkler, Donna (Dan) Leahy, David (Heidi) Jester, Daniel (Danielle) Jester, and Beth (Michael) Kramer; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Eugene Jester.

Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:00am Friday in St. John Neumann Church, 12,191 Mill Rd, Pleasant Run, followed by burial in St. Stephen Cemetery.
