HANSON, Kathleen E. age 79 of Fairfield died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at her home. She was born in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on September 16, 1934 the daughter of Francis and Ellen (Dowd) Maguire. Mrs. Hanson had worked as a department manager for Elder Berman Department Store in Hamilton for thirty years, retiring in 1995. On October 10, 1953, in St. Peter in Chains Church, she married Robert A. Hanson. Kathleen was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; two sons, Stephen (Jewel) and Robert Michael Hanson; a daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Bourgholtzer; six grandchildren, Christine and Kaylin Bourgholtzer, Melissa (Andy) Hagenmaier, Brian Bourgholtzer, Eric (Kelly) Hanson, and Michele (Bill) Trivett; four great-grandchildren, Breanna, Alanna, Alexis, Aiden, and Gavin.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Monica Hanson in 1967; a sister, Maureen Maguire in 2012; an aunt, Anne Dowd in 1975.

Prayers will be offered at 10:30AM Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM Monday in Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30AM Monday in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
