GARTEN, Kenneth S. age 49 of Hamilton died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Naples, Florida on December 4, 1961, the son of Lloyd S. and Edith Carlene (Downs) Garten.
Mr. Garten served in the US Navy, for four years aboard the USS Yellowstone as a machinery repairman. Kenneth had worked as a Corian Specialist for Hamilton Fixture for thirteen years.

Survivors include a sister, Tracy Hoover of Proctorville, Ohio; a brother, Richard (Barb) Garten of Nitro, West Virginia; step children, Betty (Norris) Nistler, Barbara (Norris) Flannery, Mark Norris; a sister in law, Barbara Hoskins; two nieces, Olivia and Megan Hoover; a nephew, Calvin Lucas Garten of West Virginia; beloved aunt, Merle Tiller of Huntington, West Virginia; Step-mother, Janet Garten of Huntington, West Virginia; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends across the country; best friend "brother", Chuck Howard and his wife Debbie of Hamilton, Ohio.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Billie Garten; a sister, Jeanmarie

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Friends may call from 11:00 am -12:00 noon Saturday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
