HUGHES, Kenneth, age 70 of Hamilton, died Sunday, October 12, 2008, at his home. He was born on April 13, 1938, the son of William Morton and Emma Louise (Foster) Hughes. On April 30, 1960, in Batesville Indiana, he married Karen Sue Wolfe. Mr. Hughes was owner and operator of Village Station Doughnut Shop, for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He was a life member of the Monkey Mutual Aid Society.
Survivors include his wife Karen Sue; three daughters, Peggy Nickell of Texas; Kim Lloyd and Regina Shepherd both of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; five great-grand children; three sisters; and four brothers.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Lionel Hughes in 1983, and Kenneth Bradley Wade Hughes in 2004; two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by burial in Reily Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30pm Thursday in the funeral home. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com.
