LENEAVE, Larry A. age 63 of Hamilton died Monday, August 10, 2009, at his residence. He was born on May 4, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio, the son of Earl and Georgia (Arnett) Leneave, and was a 1963 graduate of Garfield High School. Larry served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was a conductor for CSX Railroad for Thirty-seven years retiring in 2006. Mr. Leneave was a member of AMVETS post #71, the VFW Chuck Cain Post, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. His favorite place to visit and fish was Lake Erie. He will be greatly missed by all, and remembered for his great sense of humor.
Survivors include his two daughters, Lisa (Kevin) Fields, Leslie (Joshua) Chafin; beloved girlfriend, Allie Humphrey; three grandchildren, Taylor and Noah Fields, and Jace Chafin; one brother, Jerry (Cheryl) Leneave; special nephew, Shawn Geckeler; mother of his children and longtime friend, Penny Leneave; many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Connie Geckeler.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., with Pastor Don Dewey of St. Clair Baptist Church officiating.
