Obituary

KREMER, Lawrence J., age 87 of Fairfield died, Saturday, January 10, 2009 at Tri-County Extended Care. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 30, 1921, the son of Michael B. and Margaret (Ditmyer) Kremer, and was a 1939 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. On July 18, 1953, in St. Ann Church, he married Ruth Ann Parsons, and she preceded him in death on November 20, 1996. Mr. Kremer served in the U.S. Army infantry, in Germany, during WWII. He was a self-employed farmer standing on market in downtown Hamilton for many years, while also being employed by Fairfield School System, Fairfield West and Fairfield Middle School (Intermediate), retiring in 1985. Mr. Kremer was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church, an usher, and also enjoyed being a member of the church senior group and participating in their activities.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Kremer; a brother, Albert Kremer; two sisters, Mary Ann (Ernie) Lintner; Joan (Mickey) Smith; all of Fairfield.

Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Marie Kremer (Sisters of Charity), in November of 2006.

Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am Thursday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Thursday in Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield, with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home.
