BEGIN, Leona M. age 100 died Monday, February 28, 2011, at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder Manor. She was born in Versailles, Ohio on May 6, 1910, the daughter of William and Anna (McGreevy) Grillot. On September 21, 1935, in Versailles, Ohio she married Edwin M. Begin and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1992. Mrs. Begin was a member of St. Peter Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

Survivors include her two daughters, Susan (Robert) Beer of Murrysville, PA and Jeanne Kroeger of Hamilton; nine grandchildren, Robert, John, Paul and David Beer, Katie Fisher, Beth Mandato, Mary Vuyk, Amy Aleksiev, and Dan Kroeger; twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Wasson; son-in-law, Theodore Kroeger.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the 4th floor staff at Schroder Manor for their kind loving care and her roommate Katie Johnson, who was there when we couldn't be.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm Friday at Schroder Manor Chapel, 1302 Millville Ave. Visitation will be from 1-2:00pm Friday in the Chapel Burial will be in St. Valberts Cemetery in Versailles, OH.
