Letta Beaudry Tromans' Obituary
Tromans, Letta Beaudry age 97 of Fairfield, Ohio was born July 18, 1912 in Lake Linden, MI to Arthur and Mary Eathorne Beaudry, and died Monday, November 9, 2009 at Hospice of Hamilton.
Letta was educated in the Lake Linden schools and graduated in 1934 from St. Scholastica College in Duluth, MN, after which she began a career as a well-respected teacher in the Fairfield Schools, retiring in 1979. On December 27, 1941 she was married to Albert J. Tromans in Holy Name Church, Lake Linden. After 62 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on November 24, 2003. They resided in Virginia and Pennsylvania before settling in Fairfield in 1956 with their four children.
Letta was a charter member of Sacred Heart Church and member of Alter Rosary Society, Mission Commission, St. Vincent de Paul, Church Women United, Fairfield Garden Club and The Good Neighbors Club.
In addition to her husband, Letta was preceded in death by her grandson Alan Tromans in 1989 and her brother John Beaudry in 2006. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Fred and Marilyn Tromans of Kansas City, MO; John and Bonnie Tromans of Hamilton; Mary and Leo Grilliot of Troy, OH; and Anne and Terry Ungerbuehler of Hamilton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jeff Tromans; Elena (Tate) Owens; Cathy (Dan) Ogilvie; Michael (Kimberly), Matthew, and Elizabeth Tromans, Ben (Beth), Tony (Nikki), and Patrick Grilliot; Brian (Amberleigh) Ungerbuehler; and Leslie (Shane) McCauley, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Prayers will be offered at 9:30am Friday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am Friday in Sacred Heart Church Fairfield, with Fr. Larry Tharp celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Sacred Heart Church or the charity of the donor's choice. Letta's family thanks the staff of Fairfield Pavilion and Dr. Kathleen Alter for their faithful care, and to the Hospice of Hamilton. Online register book available at www.zettlerfuneralhome.com
